Where are my memories stored?
Only on your iPhone. There is no account and no cloud sync, so please make a backup from time to time.
How do I back up or move to a new iPhone?
Open Me → Backup & restore → Export backup and save the .zip file somewhere safe (Files, iCloud Drive or a computer). On the new iPhone, choose Restore data and pick that file. Your regular iPhone backup (iCloud or computer) also includes the app’s data.
Is my backup file encrypted?
Not yet — password-protected backups are planned. Keep the file somewhere only you can access.
How do I change the app’s language?
Open Me → Language. The app supports Tiếng Việt, English, 简体中文, 한국어, 日本語, Español, Français, Deutsch and Русский, independently of your iPhone’s language.
Why can’t my voice note be turned into text?
Transcription runs only on your device. If your iPhone doesn’t support offline recognition for the app’s language, the recording is kept but not transcribed.
Can I take a photo directly in the app?
Yes. While writing a memory, tap the photo frame and choose Take Photo (or Choose from Library). Photos taken this way are kept only inside the app, without location data, and aren’t added to your photo library. You can attach up to 10 photos to a memory, then swipe through them — or pinch to zoom — when you open it.
How do I see the Year Train for an earlier year?
Open Look back and tap the Year Train banner, then pick a year from the menu at the top left. A year appears once it has at least 3 of your own memories; sample memories are not counted.
How do I find out about new versions?
If automatic App Store updates are on, your iPhone installs them for you. You can also turn on Me → Privacy → Notify about new versions: at most once a day the app asks the App Store whether a newer version exists (sending only the app’s ID) and shows a card on the Me screen. It’s off by default.
How do I remove the sample memories?
Tap Remove sample memories on the Station screen, or go to Me → Remove sample content. Samples you edited become yours and are kept.
How do I add a widget?
Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap +, then search for Memory Station. Choose “On this day”, “How are you today?” or “Time Post Office”.
I turned on app lock — what if Face ID fails?
You can always unlock with your iPhone passcode.
